Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES Uniform)

Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES PESO Logo) by www.maxginez3.com
I was approached by SPES Panabo Grantees and they would like to have a uniform for their batch this year 2013 that will be used during their culmination day. The concept would be a blank shirt with collar, with PESO Logo, a Barcode with their name, Some Hands and the meaning of SPES in front. Actually they have submitted their own visualized design for me to see what they wanted to have. Basically, their design concept is pretty much complicated and it is very difficult to be printed on a normal screen printing process. It is on the Creative Designer to manipulate a draft and produce a printable layout.

Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES Uniform) Draft by www.maxginez3.com

SPES Batch 2013 Design Draft

My customer did not provide me a PESO Logo that I could use that is why I turn myself to Google and searched for available images using the following keywords.

Public Employment Service Offices logo (PESO - DOLE) by www.maxginez3.com

Downloadable image (200x200)Source: www.pinoy-ofw.com

- Public Employment Service Offices Logo
- PESO Logo Philippines
- PESO Logo Government
- DOLE PESO Logo
- Department of Labor and Employment PESO
- PESO Logo

But unfortunately it is not easy to get high resolution logo so what I did is to produce my own PESO Logo from the downloaded image. With the power of PhotoShop CS6 and 3 hours of my time; I was able to modify the design and saved a high resolution PSD file. Although I can use the Low Resolution image since my customer did not require me to have it in high resolution but I thought of many people might be downloading the PESO Logo so I decided to create a vector image for future use and for somebody else who needs it by purpose. I believe as a Creative Artist; it is my duty to share my expertise to others, giving back to the people where I also learned this skill.

What is Special Program for Employment of Students or SPES?

The idea of SPES was conceptualized in 1992 by the Philippine Government. It became a law as it was enacted under Republic Act (RA) 7323 and amended by RA 9547. The program was coined as “BRIDGING EMPLOYMENT” among poor yet deserving students and out-of-school youth across the Philippines by connecting Education and Employment closer together. In partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES) have granted a number of beneficiaries this year and avail employment experience while earning the same salary as normal employees on Companies that they were temporarily hired.

DOLE - PESO - SPES Summer Job

Under Republic Act No. 9547. The objective of the SPES is to develop the intellectual capacities of children of poor families and harness their potentials for the country's well being. Specifically, the Program aims to help poor but deserving students pursue their education by providing income or augment their income through encouraging their employment during summer and/or Christmas vacations. SPES accommodates students and OSYs from 15 to 25 years old who do not have failing grades in the last school year attended and whose parents’ income does not exceed P36,000 yearly.

The SPES program is applicable to any potential employer with at least 10 regular workers that is capable of providing basic employee needs such as minimum wage, service incentives and the like. And for some cases, the compensation of a SPES grantee depends on the agreement between PESO-DOLE and the company such that DOLE will subsidise 40% of the salary while remaining 60% will be provided by the accepting company.

You might be wondering about why I designed the hands and SPES separately on a Publisher. Well actually, the pupose of this is for us to prepare an acetate that will serve as another template for developing a silk screen for T-Shirt Printing process. Yes, you read it right because we are not just designing this t-shirt, Maxmedia Enterprise printed it as well so that our customers will be able to wear it.

  3. Simply just browsing "online task opportunities" will not likely minimize the idea while in job search engine, find jobs. The best suggestions would be to address finding a great on-line task exactly like finding any task. Craigslist is a wonderful starting place.
